I've read about Amelia's story and have FB'd it and also signed the petition. It's outrageous and I can't even imagine how her parents must feel. I really hope that with the support of everyone who's been upset by this story, that she'll be able to have her transplant.

The hardest thing about blogging is dealing with the "separation" - especially when we become aware of some tragedy, or injustice, or situation we would, if we could, like to remedy. It's the enforced distance - the remoteness - the impossibility of reaching through the screen to touch someone, or thing that gets to be so maddening about blogging. But then you realize - there are so many. So very many. It would be impossible to help them all.

I've read about the little girl and the couple being separated. I don't understand how either of those injustices can happen in this country. I am stunned. Another of my blogging friends found out her 5yo was also diagnosed with leukemia. All of this makes me so incredibly grateful for my life and family. Hugs to you friend.
